    15th Annual Walk-N-Roll for SBANT and Family Picnic

    Saturday September 7, 2024 9am-3pm
    Join us at Burger's Lake for our Walk-N-Roll and Family Picnic in 2024! 

    Thanks to the generosity of Burger’s Lake for hosting us for the 15th year!  This is a private event for Walk-N-Roll participants only, and won’t be open to the general public.  The Walk-N-Roll is a family-friendly 1/2 mile walk around Burger’s Lake.  The purpose is to raise funds and bring Spina Bifida awareness to the community.  It is followed by a day of fun for our participants and supporters.  Activities will include:

    *Enjoying Burger’s Lake, a spring-fed swimming hole with trees and sandy beaches

    *  Visiting Sponsor and Resource Booths *  Musical Entertainment * Games * Picnic * Team Shirt Contests * Much, much more! 

    Get ready for a day of fun at Burger's Lake!  We ask that all attendees register no later than September 1 so that we have enough supplies, volunteers and food for the event.  All attendees will be asked to sign our waiver upon registration.

    After the walk and prizes are announced, the water will be open for swimming.  A picnic lunch will be provided but you can bring your own food and drinks but no alcohol please.  Enjoy the vendor booths, meeting other families and all the activities provided.  We are so happy that you are able to join us and help raise awareness of Spina Bifida.     Fundraising deadlines for prizes: Donations can be made online through December.  For Top Fundraising Prize Considerations, mailed donations must be received by Friday September 6th and online donations must be received by Friday September 6th at 6:00pm.    The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony after the walk.  Prize info will be updated soon!

In Support of Spina Bifida Association of North Texas
Founded in 1973, the Spina Bifida Association of North Texas (SBANT) began as a small support group of parents under the name SBA Dallas. Over the years, the service area expanded to encompass all of North Texas and beyond—from the DFW area, to Central Texas, to the Panhandle and out to El Paso! SBANT volunteers work year-round to provide services, outreach, education, referrals, and programs.   SBANT also partners with other non-profit disability groups and companies to give our constituents a range of accessible activities and programs.  Our goal is to raise awareness of Spina Bifida and to give children, families and adults the tools that they need to be advocates for themselves, independent and active individuals with Spina Bifida and to have a strong, supportive community.    Our mission is to build a better and brighter future for all those impacted by Spina Bifida.
