Education Day 2024 Volunteers logo
On Saturday February 24, 2024, the Spina Bifida Association of North Texas is holding its annual Education Day at Scottish Rite for Children, located at 2222 Welborn Street Dallas, TX 75219 , from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Sessions will begin at 9:00 and end at 3:00. Kids Camp will run from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Volunteers are needed in different shifts and areas from 7:30am to 3:30pm. More parents are able to participate because we offer a kids program. Parents are on site, so volunteers just need to play, assist with crafts, and supervise. There will be arts & crafts, games, time on the accessible playground, etc. If you know how to face paint, we would love to have that activity as well. Kids will include children with Spina Bifida and siblings. Lunch is provided for volunteers plus you will earn a free tshirt! This is a great way for you to earn volunteers hours and support the Spina Bifida Community.

In Support of Spina Bifida Association of North Texas
Founded in 1973, the Spina Bifida Association of North Texas (SBANT) began as a small support group of parents under the name SBA Dallas. Over the years, the service area expanded to encompass all of North Texas and beyond—from the DFW area, to Central Texas, to the Panhandle and out to El Paso! SBANT volunteers work year-round to provide services, outreach, education, referrals, and programs.   SBANT also partners with other non-profit disability groups and companies to give our constituents a range of accessible activities and programs.  Our goal is to raise awareness of Spina Bifida and to give children, families and adults the tools that they need to be advocates for themselves, independent and active individuals with Spina Bifida and to have a strong, supportive community.    Our mission is to build a better and brighter future for all those impacted by Spina Bifida.
